What makes the Stellar System Eco-Friendly?

Energy Efficiency

Aluminium’s unique properties allow for significant energy savings in many applications. In addition, recycled aluminium is highly energy-efficient, using only 5% of the energy of primary production. By allowing more natural light into buildings reliance on artificial lighting is reduced saving energy.

The Stellar System insulates to excellent standards and can reach a WER of Band A+ and achieve U-values as low as 1.1W/m²K. The lower the U value, the better the insulation provided by the material.  You can find out more about this in our recent blog ‘Why UK homeowners need to choose A+ windows’.

Non Toxic

Aluminium, as the metal is non-toxic, nonmagnetic and non-sparking. It has a dull silvery appearance, because of a thin layer of oxidation that forms quickly when it is exposed to air which forms a natural protection from further oxidation. Aluminum has only one naturally occurring isotope, aluminium-27, which is not radioactive.

Recyclable

Our aluminium windows are made using a recyclable material. In addition, aluminium can be recycled forever. It can be melted down and reformed without losing any quality. It is estimated that 75% of the aluminium ever produced is still in use today. Recycling aluminium saves around 95% of the energy needed to make the metal from raw materials.

Sustainable

The Stellar system uses approximately 30% less aluminium than comparable systems. It is therefore more sustainable and less likely to generate waste and is also up to 20% quicker to fabricate. Our products have a long lifespan and need very little maintenance.
